The 2022 “Chamber Classic” International Chamber Competition is a new venture from CMDI Group, SAMIT Event Group and the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC), and one which promises to be a thrilling display of world-class chamber performance as piano duets, piano trios and string quartets travel from across the globe to exhibit their skills in a series of rounds designed to test all facets of musical ability. This competition is notable for its lack of entry restrictions, with regulations placed only on the combined age of the participating ensembles and required repertoire.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome all of you to the first edition of the “Chamber Classic” Competition for piano duet, piano trio and string quartet, taking place in Dubai in May 2022.
The “Chamber Classic” competition will be the first competitive event of this magnitude for these instruments in the UAE, and we are proud to invite a distinguished jury panel who will come from all over the world to judge the competition. I know I speak for everyone involved when I say how much we are looking forward to hearing the talented competitors participating in the event, and what a fantastic experience we are sure this will be.
I would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to СMDI Group, SAMIT Event Group, the EUFSC and especially to Mr. Konstantin Ishkhanov, for their guidance and support throughout this collaboration. It is vitally important, now more than ever, that we continue to promote cultural engagement around the world, and it is my pleasure to continue to work with these organisations on excellent projects such as this one.
Despite its relatively new entry into the world of classical music, Dubai has a proven legacy of innovation and cultural involvement, with artists travelling there from all over the world to communicate beautiful music to their audiences, whether through immigrating or being a visiting artist.
We wish all invited artists and competition participants a wonderful performance, and hope they enjoy the intensely creative environment that Dubai has to offer.
