ICCF 2026 Comes to a Close with Final Day of Masterclasses at Queen Elisabeth Chapel
The final day of the 2026 International Chamber Classics Festival landed in Brussels on the 1st of May, bringing the event to a close with a full programme of masterclasses, and rounding off four days of intensive musical activity at the city’s renowned Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
Led by Italian pianist Enrico Pace, joined by accompanist Sofia Raichenko, the sessions ran throughout the entire day, offering participants an extended period of focused artistic work. Across its duration, students engaged in detailed exploration of repertoire, interpretation, and ensemble performance, benefitting from Pace’s extensive experience both as a professional musician and pedagogue.
Among the students taking part were Mirabelle Kajenjeri, Shuhei Aoshima, Yiheng Wang, Abel Hox, and Ignacio Rodriguez, each of whom had the opportunity to work closely with the faculty in an environment that encouraged both individual refinement and shared learning. As in previous days, the format allowed participants to observe one another’s sessions, fostering a broader exchange of ideas and perspectives.
The extended duration of the masterclass sessions reflected the festival’s emphasis on depth and continuity, providing a fitting conclusion to a programme that has balanced live performance with artistic development, with a core commitment to collaboration, mentorship, and musical growth.
With the conclusion of the day’s sessions, the International Chamber Classics Festival 2026 then drew to a close, marking the end of a second edition that has further established the event as a meaningful platform for young musicians and internationally renowned artists to work, perform, and engage in dialogue at the highest level.
